Photoshop HW 3

I chose this image of Kirby and Kendall because I think it would be difficult photoshopping the way the masks' shadows hit the face of the people wearing them. It may look kind of messy, because the cut-outs look jagged, which might make the photoshopping more difficult. 





This post gave me inspiration  for the project because I feel as if photoshopping something similar would be very doable. The subject is smaller compared to the background which would probably be easy to do, which makes it more reasonable for a beginner (such as myself) to attempt. 





This image made me laugh because the photoshopper took the literal advice of the person requesting a photoshop. I think it was funny how he interpreted it and then carried out the project. 




I’d recreate something similar to this one. They have made the toy car look life-sized. It reminds me of the mini brands that you find at the store. I could do a whole photoshoot of the mini-merchandise to make the items look life sized like this car.

  Self Portrait Propaganda Poster   For my self-portrait propaganda, this is the original selfie that I used:   The final poster turned out pretty well: My poster follows the “punk” vibe that we were shown examples of in class. I drew inspiration for the checkered background from looking at similar style posters. I also included a faded “shadow” of my original vector in the background that is my take on the following images use multiple images of one subject: I chose the quote “Loose lips sink ships” because my poster is still supposed to be a version of propaganda. This saying was popular in war times as to promote keeping secrets so that the enemy would not be aware of any plans made in regards to military, location, etc. Since my name is Lucy, my nickname is Luce which is pronounced the same way as “loose”, hence why I chose this quote. It is not necessarily satire, more so a play-on-words.

Post Card

For our recent project, we were assigned in designing a post card. I chose a place that is near and dear to my heart: my local beach town, Saint George Island. I grew up going to this beach and one of my childhood best friends' grandparents own some real estate on the island. Her grandmother used to show us old photos of the island before it grew, and one aspect has truly stayed the same since then: the lighthouse. You can tour the light house any time you want when you visit and it is smack dab in the middle of the island. I chose to use an image of the light house due to how iconic it is.  For design, I went for simple because SGI is a very simple place. It's small and relaxed so I did a relaxed and "low maintenance" design. For the back, I also kept it simple. I made sure to include the "signing" lines that are very postcard-y.  I also included the abbreviation "SGI" because that is what the locals call it, and I think it added a nice touch.
